Jeff Nash received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980, and a Juris Doctor degree in 1984. He is admitted to the practice of law in the state of Ohio and admitted to practice in the federal courts.

After gaining experience with a general practice law firm handling business and litigation matters, Jeff joined The Progressive Corporation in August, 1985, shortly before Progressive’s rapid growth to the third largest auto insurance company in the United States. Jeff initially managed this national carrier’s claims litigation, coverage and complex casualty matters for a 10-state region. In 1994, Jeff was selected to develop and lead a national approach to the management of policy drafting, regulatory relationships, speed-to-market product strategy, and regulatory compliance, in order to minimize and defend against market conduct violations, bad faith and class action risks, and to improve the brand image of the company as reflected by its policy, coverage and written communication to insureds. This practice group within the Law Department grew to a team of 19 professionals under Jeff’s leadership, managing all forms, forms compliance and filings. In January 2003, Jeff left Progressive and formed The Nash Group, which has grown and thrived, providing a broad range of services from developing and managing insurance regulatory relationships, to product development, forms drafting, rule manual development and insurance regulatory compliance management.

Jeff is a valued resource used by insurance product management and marketing executives from many large national insurance companies, as well as some small regional companies focused on growth. He is well-acquainted with key staff in virtually every state insurance department and has extensive knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements, rating and rule restrictions, forms compliance requirements, and the fastest path to getting insurance products from concept to implementation.

Jeff is an experienced attorney with more than 20 years working with corporate law departments and chief legal officers of major insurance companies to supplement their working staff when they have need for additional experience and resources to meet their business objectives and service level. While Jeff maintains a national practice for the insurance industry, he also continues to advise small and medium size businesses planning for growth, with recent experience assisting small manufacturers acquiring other business lines. Jeff also maintains strategic relationships to assist clients who have a need to outsource back-office operations, customer service and manufacturing.

Jeff and his wife of 26 years live in Pepper Pike, Ohio, and have two daughters in college studying business. He enjoys traveling, yacht racing and a good cigar.
